My Favorite Self-Care Purchases From 2020: Gift Ideas For Yourself

I love buying gifts for loved-ones, myself included! Since 2020 was a very long year and I found myself confined to my home for much of it, I took to Amazon to purchase a few self-care items. Although I refuse to bore you with the sheer volume of, ahem, unnecessary purchases I made, I will at least share my favorites!

1-Weighted Blanket

My favorite purchase of the year was a weighted blanket! How did I ever sleep without it? The 20 pound blanket (or you can buy the 15 pound version) helps me to feel warm and secure, and the weighted pressure helps me to stay asleep longer. The blanket really upgraded my nights and I wake up feeling well-rested. The calming weights can also help with anxiety.

2-Bluetooth Sleep Headphones

I love my Bluetooth ear pods during the day, but not at night. Not only would they fall out of my ears while tossing and turning, they would power down too quickly. My discovery of this Bluetooth headband answered all of my issues. It’s comfortable, it doesn’t shift when I move, and it stays charged nearly the entire night. Best of all, the sound quality is amazing! It can also be worn around the house and while exercising. Whether I’m listening to jazz, podcasts or the news, this headband is always within reach!

3-Back Lotion Applicator

I have dry skin, especially during the winter months. Attempting to apply lotion to my back seemed to be an impossible task. This machine-washable back lotion applicator was exactly what I needed to reach every area on my back. Just apply the lotion to the applicator and massage your back until it’s all rubbed in. I use this applicator twice a day and stay moisturized!

4-Electric Toothbrush

After reading many reviews, I decided on the AquaSonic Black Series Ultra Whitening Toothbrush. It is moderately priced and has great customer feedback. For me, one charge lasts almost a month and I can easily pop on a new brush. Not to mention, it’s sleek and smooth in matte black. I truly love this toothbrush and highly recommend it!

5-Ayesha Curry Wok

I love to cook and love finding the perfect kitchen accessory! At 14 inches, this Ayesha Curry wok is big enough to hold a great amount of food. From stir-fry to pasta dishes, I pull this wok out at least once a week. It cleans easily and is dishwasher-safe.

6-High-Waisted Leggings

These are the best high-waisted leggings to wear around the house, while exercising, or out and about. The material is very soft and fits in all the right places. Even after many washes, the material is still great. These pants come in several different quantity sets and color combinations. I’d wear them every day if I could!
