What to Wear Wednesdays: Black on Black
There are many many reasons why the color Black will always be in. From the slimming effect to the fact that it simply makes essentially everything look great. But there is something special about black on black looks. They are effortless and moody yet still chic and edgy. I paired this look together using some beautiful pieces that I recently purchased so you should still be able to find each item that I’ll be discussing below.
This look entails 3 signature pieces: The Jacket, the dress and the boots!
The Jacket- DOUBLE UP PU JACKET: I recently purchased the Jacket from ShopAkira online. It retails for $89 and comes in two different colors, beige and black. This jacket has a very unique style and fit. It is a faux leather combined with a snakeskin like texture on the lapels. It has great detailing such as the zipper on the sleeves and 2 sets of zippers to completely close the jacket. It comes in 3 sizes (S,M,L) I am wearing a large and it fits VERY snug so I would caution you, if you purchase it to go up 1 size from your normal size. Although it fits snug it is such a beautiful and unique piece that you should absolutely get your hands on.
The dress: I recently purchased this from ASOS, can I just tell you how much I am obsessed and in love with this online store?!?! They have a “Tall” category so they essentially stole my heart when I found this out. At a whopping 5’10 I cannot tell you how frustrating it can be to find items to wear such as pants and dresses. ASOS has somewhat resolved that issue for me, they offer beautiful pieces as extremely reasonable prices so it’s a win win for me. Now, back to this dress. It’s a mock turtle neck long sleeve ribbed dress with bell cuffs on the sleeve. This is yet another piece with unique detailing. 
The Shoes: I purchased a while back from Macy’s. They are Steve Madden’s Women’s Norri Over the Knee Boots and I’ve posted about them in previous posts so be sure to check them out.
